Yahoo! Groups is doing some house cleaning. As of next week we will start the process of deleting any group more than six month old that contains no messages, photos or files. By deleting these empty groups, we will help improve the performance and usefulness of group search.
If you have a specific group that currently has no content in it that you wish to save, you can avoid this deletion process by simply posting a message to the group, uploading a photo or file.

I was a Moderator but I’m not any more, but I’m still receiving messages as if I was.
My group was “FamiliaOuro@yahoogrupos.com.br” (Brazil).

Although I have left Ashford Freecycle I am still getting hundreds of posts emailed to me – can you please stop these, in spite of keep asking these emails will not stop – help!!!

I have a question about the new group look, my group has not yet changed over, but I do notice on another group I am a member in that the applications are not there……in the group that I own, we have a lot going on in our Applications, will I still have this in the new group look? I would hate to think we would lose all that.

Maybe next you can go after any groups that haven’t had any new activity in more than a couple of years. And then you could resume the practice of sending out Pending-Deletion notices–the ones that said “If you want to keep your group, post something”?
This group was here until yesterday because I posted 3 messages there. I went to send an email today and now it is gone. Did yahoo delete it in error.
what about messages generated by the group calendar
I know if several groups that are totally None active (Dead) that has spam messages added lately will they be saved just because of spam not being watched?
Seems like a good idea to dump old no active groups.
There something I just can’t fig or fine and that is how can I stop you from putting stuff that is not spam in my mail spam,I can no longer fine my list or how to get to it,what is the deal?????
