Thank you for continuing to share your valuable feedback with us. We would like to address your top questions and to keep you up-to-date on the latest on the new Yahoo! Groups experience.
When will my group have to adopt the new Yahoo! Groups experience?
There are no plans at this time to force any groups to the new experience. That means, if you are the group owner, you will be able to switch your group to try out the new experience. If you decide that you want to switch back to the current experience, you will also be able to do so. You will find instructions on how to do this on this help page.
When will the Message History grid be available in the new experience?
We have taken an iterative approach to updating the new Yahoo! Groups experience so that you can benefit from the updates as soon as they are ready; this will also allow us to improve features more quickly. Unfortunately, the Message History grid is a feature that did not make it into our initial release, but may be brought back in a different form in the next several months.
I would prefer to have the About page as the default view for my group, rather than the Group Activity stream. Why not have the moderators decide which appears?
We plan to allow moderators to add group-specific announcements, similar to how many groups are already using the Group Description; this feature will be available soon.
When will the new experience be available in other colors and themes than the existing one?
We’ve heard your feedback loud and clear on this one. We are looking at some ideas, but don’t have a timeline right now.
I use a local (non-U.S.) version of Yahoo! Groups. When will the new experience be available in my local version?
The new Yahoo! Groups experience is available only on the U.S. site for now. We are working on a timeline to expand the new experience to sites outside of the U.S.
Why are you focused on the new experience instead of basic functionality like fixing Message Search?
Fixing Message Search is among our top priorities right now. While you may not notice any changes immediately, we have taken an iterative approach on this issue and hope to resolve it as soon as possible.
i am an old fashioned person who believes in “if its not broken do not fix it”
It would be wise not to close our parallel lists/groups hosted by other providers “at this time”, for just in case.
Best to use an iterative approach to Yahoo’s vague predictions

Great. I’m trying to see an old message at one of my groups, after using message search to find it quickly, and I can’t see it because I’m getting a message claiming that my group seems to have exceeded some sort of download limit. WHAT?!? Are you guys secretly doing something to tick off the users, or is there another bug in the system? Either way, I’d been seeing this message for most of the day and I’m not liking it at all. Care to fix it and make sure that it stay fixed? Thank you.
How do I undo the new beta version. I don’t like it at all and need to get the old version back ASAP.

Note: at this time. They’ll decide that tomorrow.
Just checking before I hit the button. Is there any chance I could lose messages from the message board.
