The Yahoo! Groups team
hello
since some weeks my group face problem with the ATTACHEMENT like .pps, .ppsx. .pdf
1 attachement on 2 arrive corrupted to the members after it’s passage in the group
if i repost THE SAME MAIL just forward it to the group again the members can open the attachement
i think this is a bug in yahoo i am in contact with other group owners who face the same situation
i mails yahoo groups help, who after a wile told me they cannot help and they believe that do not come from the groups
i am sure this come from the yahoo groups because if i send the same mail and attachement in same time to the group and in other group one can receive it normally and one other receive it corrupted
HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS ISSUE IF YAHOO DOESN’T want to help me ?

For some reason I couldn’t post a comment on the original announcement of the house cleaning, so I will post here
I wanted to say I really appreciate that Yahoo! Groups is cleaning house. Yahoo is cluttered with hundreds of inactive or spam groups, making it nearly impossible to find legitimate active groups anymore…
I myself have several groups, some active for over a decade, and I haven’t had someone “stumble” on them through a search for years. The only way I can get new members is to advertise the group relentlessly through various outlets. Which is a real problem, considering finding and joining groups is what Yahoo! Groups is all about.
Whenever I search for a topic, 95% of the groups have been inactive for several years (usually three or four years). Another 4% are active, but only with the same repeating spam messages from the same repeating bots. If you have less visitors than before, this would be a big part of why. Who wants to spend hours weeding through pages upon pages to find the one diamond in the rough?
I really hope the ‘house cleaning’ will spread beyond groups that never posted a message or photo and onto inactive groups or spam groups. I remember Yahoo! used to send out Pending Deletion emails to moderators and would give them a chance to respond or post a message to save their group. Please, PLEASE bring this back. Its fair and easy enough for the mods to save their groups if they wish, but it will weed out all the abandoned groups and spam bot monsters.
Again I hope the cleaning spreads beyond this.
Yahoo! Groups is useless if no one can find active, legitimate groups to join in the first place. I love Yahoo! Groups and don’t want to see it die off slowly.
Thank you!
In regards to Classic Groups “cleanup” – do you plan to delete Groups that have Polls, Database or calendar content? I Was just planning to create such a Group, but guess I should not bother? (yes, i know it will survive for the next 6 months – but i would like my work to survive me and not the other way around)
My question is in regards to Classic Groups:
It is not clear from your blog entry what you have fixed in the Advanced Message Search? Since this Search is still mentioned in:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/original/issues/index.html;_ylt=AmAkib9BQPYiXUFsNJN55aFmAXpG#
It would be most helpful if you would dedicate a complete blog entry to this issue which has been unresolved since 2007. What is working and what is not?
TIA
I can not open any emails from yahoo groupls? This just started within the past couple of days. ?????
I don’t want to know every time someone joins my group. How do I stop these emails?
