Groups emails during this period. Fortunately our technical team has been able to identify the problem and has already taken the necessary steps to fix the issue. Things have stabilized and mail delivery is back to normal. We appreciate your patience in this process and are grateful to those of you who reached out to us to notify us of the problem.
I have been reading all of your helpful comments on my previous blog, and I apologize for not being able to respond to each of you individually. Please rest assured that your message has come across loud and clear. We realize that Yahoo! Groups needs to make some significant changes to meet your expectations, and our team is working diligently towards this goal.

Our internet provider just switched from Verizon to Frontier communications and since Aug 4th we have not been receiving any emails sent from yahoogroups.com.
We have checked with Frontier and nothing is reaching them at all so it appears there is still an issue with either routing or filtering or something.
Just FYI, still having trouble with the internal keyword search feature, pretty much all day long.
I am not receiving any mail since couple of months. I really miss FFO. I updated my details so many times. Kindly do something as I really miss it.

I am moderating many yahoo groups for my school. I cannot find some of my groups. I get a message the group does not exist. Help! The school is soon starting and have 100′s of members in the groups….
We are having problems with unsolicited spam. It is making my five members antsy. Help get rid of it.

Yep it’s happening today. Apologies are fine but this is consistently and issue with delayed emails to the groups. I don’t get it. It’s getting old.
This “apology” might be a little more meaningful if the SAME PROBLEM wasn’t happening again RIGHT NOW with absolutely no word from Yahoo (once again)! But hey, we don’t need our Groups to function properly or to know what’s going on. We’ll be fine with another late, overdue notice and another “sincere” apology then we’ll forget all about it by catching up on Layla’s latest online adventures and maybe another exciting tale from some “special” guest blogger. I’m Moderator [Ownwr] of My Group. All my posts comback to the SPAM Box. This has been goping on for months. I have yet to receive an answer regarding this issue. I have made numerous inquiries – but no answers have come back to me.
I’m sorry to say that this issue has NOT been resolved. I’m the owner of a couple groups and my messages are being bounced back in them. I’m getting “mailer daemons” saying they’re not deliverable. I know you all work hard to fix any issues that come up, but come on. Let’s not call it fixed until it really is.
Also, I’d like to know when my groups are going to get the message search feature. I’ve waited forever for this and submitted many requests to get it updated. One of my groups, members are required to post each month. Without that search option, I have to do alot of extra work. It’d be nice if I could just type in their name and see what they did. Is message search ever going to be available to all of us?? It really wasn’t fair to fix some and leave the rest of us hanging!!
The problem has not been fixed. I belong to several groups, and my messages are still being bounced back. So are the messages from members of the groups I own, and I am being inundated with personal messages about it
Come on Yahoo, be honest! Don’t tell us it is fixed until it is fixed for every group

Email problems still going on people. Just set something to one of my groups and it came back.
Still having problems posting on 8/5/10; all groups I belong to. Don’t think you have it resolved, just an FYI.
I received the notice that messages to groups sent from email are being rejected. Yesterday I posted two messages from our group page and they were rejected, too. I am the moderator so I know it was not a denial of the message. Both times I received Mailer Daemons to tell me of the rejection.
Can someone please explain why this happens, too? Thank you.

Considering that we usually have over 1800 posts a month, we certainly do exist! And, as owner, I don’t think I’m banned from posting to my own list.

Once again, for the umpteenth time, I’m shocked — SHOCKED — to find that approved messages aren’t posting.
I’m no good at being noble, but it doesn’t take much to see that the problems of a few little people who try to manage these Yahoo Groups don’t amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday, Yahoo will understand that (like perhaps when the company goes out of business). For the present, though, it’s obvious that they just don’t get it.
Some of my emails are still not coming through and it is a bit annoying.
Does anyone have any USEFUL suggestions as to why and is there anything I can do about it?

Yahoo Groups mail freezes solid for four days…over a *weekend*…and we don’t even get official acknowledgement of the issue until the day after it’s fixed?
Any other company’s IT people would be sprinting up and down hallways, bouncing off the walls, and submitting hourly reports to the Big Bosses (here, that’s us, the users).
Okay, you’re new at this. Unfortunately, the foot-dragging response is not. Welcome to the crew; I sincerely wish you the best, and that this actually becomes fun for you at some point. hi, i dont know whats up with free cycle west, but whoever is in charge they are not posting our ads. i have been a member for a couple of years now and they wont post any of my posts, yet i follow all the guidelines. our posts have been in the hundreds and have now dropped to 50 over the last 2 months. someone needs to look into whos in charge. they are not doing their job and are not being fair to us members. ty.

Still happening with the Bike-to-the-sea group. Took 18 hours for one emailt o get delivered, and I still haven’t received emails sent mid-day yesterday by mid-day today.
No activity on Livermore FC, Pleasanton FC, or Tracy FC since July 24.
Obviously some kind of problem exists. Any update would be appreciated.

Layla, I agree with Lucy’s sentiment.
When the Yahoo! Groups Team first started using a blog, back on 360, many moderators jeered the effort as redundant with the Moderator Central group. The Team’s answer at the time was directed at events like this: the need for a means of communication outside of Groups for times when the Groups system is having technical difficulties.
The earlier something is said here, acknowledging that the issue has been seen and is being worked on, the better this blog’s foremost purpose is served.

Layla , thank you to you and Yahoo for getting this email delivery issue resolved. It would be nice in the future is Yahoo would acknowledge the issue a bit earlier , so us group owners do not grow restless, due to feeling like no one is working on the issue. Also it would be nice to have more updates when issues arise , with an estimated time when Yahoo feels the issue will be fully resolved. It just helps us to keep our group members better informed as to what is going on with the groups. It also goes big into good customer service. Thank you again for all your help.
