Groups temporarily unavailable
UPDATE: For info on the “cookie” error message, please see this post
UPDATE: Site is back up. Thanks for your patience!
We’re aware that the groups site (and all of your groups) are currently unavailable. We’re currently working on the fix and will be sure to update you as soon as the issue has been resolved. In the interim you may see error messages like ” internal error – server connection terminated” or “connection refused” or may experience extremely slow load times. Thank you for your patience while we resolve these problems.

Help, I cannot access any of my group messages. Yahoo is displaying this message:
“Your browser is not accepting our cookies. To view this page, please set your browser preferences to accept cookies. (Code 5) ”
I have reset my browser settings from medium to low and it still does not allow me (the Owner) to access.
What is going on?

I was getting the “browser not accepting our cookies” message. Now I can’t get into any of my adult groups. It won’t let me past the page where you click to accept terms.
As the other person said, I reset my browser settings, too, and it didn’t help at all.

Ditto, cannot read messages at any of the groups for which I am a member.
In Firefox 3.5 I get:
“Your browser is not accepting our cookies. To view this page, please set your browser preferences to accept cookies. (Code 5) ”
In IE 8 I get the same but (Code 0)

I’m also getting the “browser is not accepting our cookies” message, Code 1. Can’t get into any messages on my board at all.

I am getting ‘connection refused’ or an error about cookies. Clearly it isn’t back up and ’stable’!

In dozens of groups, as a member, but also as listowner,
only parts are accessable, “Files ” mostly not.
Gives the same error messages as the other commenters here above.
Clearly “not solved”.

I’m getting the Code 0 version of “browser is not accepting our cookies”. This is for a birding newsgroup. Public. No login required. For other sites I do not have cookie problems. I would suggest that contrary to the update message here, the Yahoo groups are NOT working.

Cannot access messages or files in any group. Get ‘connection refused’ or an error about cookies. Both IE and Firefox in Win and Linux ARE set to accept cookies.

I could access my group fine, until this morning. Now all I am getting when I attempt to access my group is ‘connection timed out’.
This happens either when trying to access the home page, or more recently, I can access the home page but get the message when trying to access the calendar or messages. I can access files ok, by the looks of it.
I have closed my browser and restarted, get the same error.

I was not aware until reading an email from one of my group saying she is getting time out message. Not being that savvy on coputer talk i gooled these words asking what it meant and found this page. it is Sat 21st so the problem is still happening.

Fixed!! You’re joking – I’m still getting connection refused or connection timed out for various groups
Margaret Bevan said,

No – problem is still NOT fixed. Still unable to access my group website at first attempt; then, once in, unable to access calendar even after multiple attempts. Error message = connection timed out.

I have been getting ‘connection timed out’ for the past two days, whenever I try to get into my group website. Yet some of the group are able to access the website as normal. Why is this? As I am a group moderator, this is extremely annoying and frustrating.
I am on Broadband. I have had no problem in getting into other websites.
Can anyone explain, please?

Some members of my group can get on and some can’t including me. This problem has not been fixed. I can get email though.

I got my connection back about an hour after I left my message here. Thanks to whoever fixed it! It’s great to get back into my group again.

I have contacted you before and was told this problem was corrected. However, I am still receiving the message that this connection was lost or cannot connect. This is not only for yahoo groups, I cannot sign in at all, unless I sign in thru Instand messenger when it asks to automatically sign me in. This is a real problem for me since I am a group moderator.
This is not a problem with my computer I can connect with every other website and sign in. I am only having difficulties with yahoo.

I am not able to use any of the functions of my cana_thrifty_treasures group.
Yahoo has become such a pain that I am seriously thinking of switching my groups to bigtent.

After I log in all group pages are completely blank. This is happening in Firefox under Linux, and both Firefox and IE under Windows. I’ve tried disabling all my browser plugins and unloading Flash, nothing helps. I’m not having any other browsing problems, only Yahoo groups. Any thoughts?
