it seems when an owner mods, the msgs comes thru quickly…also an unmodded mod/owner also seems to get the msg thru….any thoughts on that??

There have been delays for most of the week regardless of how they originated.Messages approved by myself and my co-moderator have taken hours to appear and some members thinking that their messages never reached the group have posted duplicates.I had to issue an Admin message last night advising our members of the ongoing problems with a stuffed search tool,Yahoo999 errors leading to a delay in me approving messages and members but of course that was delayed as well.It looks like the background work to migrate to the new server farm and the re-indexing to sort the search tool have probably hammered the servers and network capacity leaving little spare capacity to do the “Day Job”

Yes the same is happening to my group. Long, long delays. Yesterday it took one hour for the messages to appear in the pending, and then once approved it took over 4 hours for them to get to my inbox. That is ridiculous. Why did Yahell do anything ? A few weeks ago everything was running so smoothly, then Yahell screws it all up. Very frustrating.

Some of my members are getting mail only on reply. Some are not getting it at all. And all my posts aren’t going through. Come on yahell! Are we going to have to check out Google groups? We are sick of all this fixing that only makes things worse.

Well, yes, Yahoo’s ‘fixes’ often cause perplexing delays in messages getting to us, as well as the occasional glitch, duplicate message and inconvenience – but come on! Quit whining!
Yahoo still offers the best, FREE alternative out there. How about COMPLIMENTING the techies that dream up and make this stuff possible for the rest of us, rather than simply COMPLAINING?
Thanks Yahoo, I appreciate being able to run my groups with generally, very few problems!!

Gurrrrrrrrr! I thought mine was fixed too, but I just went on my Group site, and my members tell me that they see some of the messages, and then only my replies back to them, Gorden, Melissa…WHOM EVER! please understand ALL of our frustrations! and fix these problems so we can all get back on track with our members and our sites. It was bad enough when, in my case, and I’m sure others, when we had to find a new site because of MSN closing all theirs. So I chose Yahoo, and since then, it’s been just about as irritating and disapointing. I do, however, appreciate that you, Gordon, did at least respond here. Keep ua all informed and hopefully we will be sending and receiving messages from our members instead of here. Thanks ~FernWillow~

I found out that if you post via the web then you get unheard of delays. In fact, I posted one message on the web last night around 9:00 pm MDT and I STILL haven’t received the message that it was posted. If I post via email then I get the notice within minutes. I am also investigating moving platforms. And, no, Yahoo is NOT the only free service for what I need.

The puny group has had no messages post since April 20th. This is *the* busiest time of the year for the group, so I know it’s not due to a lack of messages being sent by the members.

  14. Bobbie said,

    April 24, 2009 @ 5:49 am

Our latest bout of outages (which began two days ago and still not resolved) were apparently coincidental with the enhancements made to enable viewing of “All Photos” ~which was never even announced at Moderator Central, unless that was another message that was *posted* and never appeared!

    http://www.ygroupsblog.com/blog/2009/04/22/view-all-of-your-group%e2%80%99s-photos-at-once/

It seems that every time one feature is enhanced, the basic bones of the system are compromised. Unexpected problems often occur between “Point A” (Development) and “Point B” (Production) but if they notice their own messages aren’t going through, you’d think it would make them go “hmmmm?”

  15. Sandra Hilton said,

Yes I am in the same boat as all of you. Our Group is getting long delays before messages appear. I don’t get Email messages and my messages posted online are sometimes taking 6 plus hours to appear.

My email also seems very slow and I have to keep signing in to Yahoo, over and over again! I have to sign in afresh each morning no matter whether I clicked the ‘keep me signed in for 2 weeks’ button the night before. If I close the window on my Group, then try to go back in there straight away, I am told that I am not a member and can’t post! So then it is sign in time again. Is this happening to anyone else?

I do love Yahoo Groups and for the most part they work exceptionally well but it is driving me bonkers at the moment and the same for my members!

Last night I submitted a post and *I* approved it a few minutes later.
This was at 11:35 that I approved it. The message did NOT show up in my inbox until about an hour later. I have noticed (lately) that all of the groups I belong to, the time is really worse than it has ever been. Even groups that are *NOT* moderated messages can take 8 pr up to 24 hours to show up.
Before this change it was reasonably within a few minutes.

This is not a major item on most of my groups but one I do not manage (24 hours) seems to be excessive (to me) as the information is important to a few people.

I will suggest that if this continues to move the group to Google as they do not have the issues that YAHOO seems to have.

That’s glad to know because it is not just message posting to the board slow, it takes for ever for pending messages to show up as well so they can be approved.

  21. Kathleen said,

    April 24, 2009 @ 7:26 am

It would probably be more helpful if users commented on their experience rather than their frustration.

We are also experiencing long delays – delays in message appearing for moderation in pending, delays in email notifications of pending messages, delays in replies to messages that have been posted, delays between moderation and the message appearing on the site.

We have found that if you send a message via your own email (not through Yahoo), it appears for moderation more quickly than those that post via the group site. There is still a delay between the message being moderated and it appearing on the site.

The delays seem to be from 3-5 hours.

Also, my email noficiations of pending messages are suddely all ending up in my Spam folder (gmail).

Our group is not receiving anything in pending.

The past few days there have been delays on “approved” messages. But now there seems to be a bottleneck somewhere related to new items for “pending”.

Numerous messages submitted this AM … mine submitted directly from the group page using “post” have not shown up. Looks like last message in around 2:00 am EDST. So we have a many hour delay at this point.

I will test sending messages via email and see if that works but many of our contributors do use email and like I said, nothing coming in at all and we have a steady stream of posters.

  24. Karen said,

    April 24, 2009 @ 7:46 am

Okay … just sent a test email directly to our Group and it came into “pending” instantly. So there is a problem with posting directly.

I own two groups and belong to several others and every single one of them is experiencing delays from several hours to “NEVER” for posts. This has been going on for the past two days.
I suspect that all of this has to do with changes that yahoo is making to generate more revenue from advertisers. The problem is that yahoo groups are becoming virtually “uninhabitable.”
One of my groups is a legal site for expats living in or planning to move to Panama with hundreds of files and it would take me forever to migrate the numerous files and folders to google groups but I am seriously considering it.

It’s imperative that am able to search the messages to make sure that
posting is being done as required to keep membership — well that hasn’t
worked now since March 17 and even the new group isn’t working ..

NOW on top of that messages aren’t posting to the groups for hours –
the students being worked with are used to having their questions answered
within a few minutes — they are attempting re post things that then have
    to be deleted..

Have had as much patience as one can have but it’s going out the door
with each new kink popping up while no fixes are appearing anywhere…
Is it time for all yahoo accounts to be canceled ? Can understand why
some are referencing this as yahell….

Howdy! I am happy to find this blog. I just started a new group on Monday, inviting over 800 people over a couple of days.

I already lost one member due to the delays. I have another group too, and those messages are all delayed too.

Yahoo is still a good place for a group. Google isn’t the same.

I keep posting that messages are slow to my groups, and maybe they get them sometime.

I thought it was my computer at first, but I have a great computer, fast internet, done all the virus scans, defrags, etc., so I know it isn’t my computer.

This is the longest time that I have had such message delays.

    Thanks for hearing me.

Yahoo has been doing all this fixing for the past few months, and the Groups seem to be getting more unreliable with each one. The Groups I own or moderate are on individual; but the other Groups I belong to are on digest. Last week, I stopped getting digests; and on Sunday I got digests containing messages from as far back as the 15th. This was after getting information that the problem of Group digests not going out if there were less than 25 messages — and then 5 days later, these digests came through! Is Yahoo trying to fix the Groups, or just trying to cost-reduce the administration of them? YahooGroups may not cost us money to use, but we do view the ads, and that means Yahoo still makes money exposing us to the ads. I just want Groups to work like they’re supposed to.

All this talk of moving our groups.

For my money Yahoo is the worst… except for all the others.

This too will pass. I’ve seen a few well established groups move, some to Yahoo and some from Yahoo and years later they’re still a shadow of what they were before the move. Don’t do it no matter how your members whine for it unless maybe a significant majority of MEMBERS, not POSTERS get really up in arms. Then you darn well better just make the new group and not kill the old one until the members actually sign up for it. Any Moderator who doesn’t take pains to tell the difference between loud mouths and committed feet is making a huge mistake.

I have visited this blog many times in hope to find an update on the problems of messages being delayed. This has been going on for at least a week now for my group, and this is surely not the first time. In the past I could over look it, but as it continues to interrupt the flow of things, it is becoming frustrating. How much longer will this take before messages are posted normally, and not hours and hours from the moment we hit send?

Our messages have been on again off again for about 3 weeks. Our homepages photo disappeared for a day. Our 160 aol members all got bounced. I have to sign in about 40 times each day….

The other moderators and many of our 1,400 members want us to move. I have not seen alternatives yet that I like. We have a .org and .net site, but we have not been able to figure out a way to have all the features we have with Yahoo at those sites, so we just use them for general announcements.

We really like: Yahoo because: members can able to post, rather than just comment; a photo section members can upload to; a links page for quick and easy referrals; a calendar members can use with reminder potentials; a certain level of privacy with each member being able to sign into the group without us having to create and provide the entire group with a password that would get leaked to non-members eventually; we like that it is free and with our volunteer moderating we are able to provide excellent (mostly) services to our membership….

Now we hear of all the lay-offs at Yahoo. Very sad.

Our members are elderly for the most part and I am very worried about them.

I overall like Yahoo and have had more than enough future shock to last 5 lifetimes. I don’t want more change. One of the things about the net world, is that there seems to be a constant desire to change things under the guise of “improvements”. I have never felt that things were improved by these changes.

Throughout the world these yahoo groups have done a wonderful thing in providing a multitude of like minded groups the ability to access each other and services. Many enable people to become more empowered in achieving their various goals.

In today’s world, with all the problems we are facing, I cannot help but wonder what will happen to all these people if we lose Yahoo groups? Some of these groups facilitate members meeting their basic survival needs. We try to.

I was getting up to 12 hours delay yesterday with web submitted posts, with some later posts via web and email leapfrogging earlier ones. I got a message from yahoo groups Customer Care this morning saying the issue had been resolved, but it obviously hasn’t as I am still waiting for a message to appear which I submitted over 7 hours ago!

  39. Mark said,

    April 24, 2009 @ 9:56 am

Sadly the delays for messages are now running at more than 5 hours from the time a message is logged in the management log<same time as the time stamp when the message appears in our pending queue).I apporve the message and there’s another delay.Add that to the Yahoo999 problems and it’s little surprise that the members grow restless. We’ve been asked not to pester Gordon Strause as he’s trying to identify new ways of building Yahoo’s business but if someone doesn’t sort the basics out then there won’t be a business to grow.Attempts to report the perpetual 999 error are in vain as all I’ve had by way of response is the same automated message on the 4 occasions that I’ve tried to report the fault that is caused by some over paranoid server at Yahoo.

Okay we know many groups are having the problem, does it do any good continually posting your group is too when Yahoo and all of us already know there is a problem and Yahoo is working on it….and all this my group to stuff is a waste of this message system…yes we also know how it affects all of us and how we run our groups, but again you know a better place then go there :)

The Yahoo system is a massive resource intense and technical nightmare and the techs actually do a good job with the glitches and hitches.

Your system maintenance seems to have completely messed up the message sections for the groups. Posting is still taking forever, as most other folks who are posting point out. We all have posts that are somewhat time-sensitive, and will have no choice but to migrate to a platform with fewer problems if this is not resolved quickly.

    Wow,
All this griping and complaining. For Pete’s sake, people. You have a free service, conducts a free messaging service, store photos, files, links and lets you do what you want, for free! You can expect some glitches now and then, especially when there are changes and improvements being implemented on live time. I think it is amazing that we have all of this, and my group is pretty darn tickled with it most of the time. let’s give these people a break, sit down for a minute and appreciate what you have! It’s free. anybody else want to start a group like this, provide free service to thousands of members, host the program for them and then give them constant improvements over the years? If so, can you guarantee no glitches?
I am amazed at the gall of the complaining free-loaders. Let them go to another service and find out out perfect it might be.

Now that it is here and we are still having issues, I am not sure that the new stuff was the fix. All the delays for posting is still here and we are still having problems.

As the group owner I see nothing any better from last week to now, being we are having these issues now.

I’m glad that I forwarded Gordon’s email about the message delay to CITY-o-Clay, because that’s the last post that did get through. Yesterday the posts to CITY-o-Clay were coming in out of order. I went to the web to check if there were messages in moderation and there were. I approved them and hours later I received the notification of pending posts.

Just to keep perspective on this: I’ve been a group owner for nearly 10 years, starting back in the day with OneList/e-groups. There has only been a few times when there has been a problem worth remembering. The infamous “multiple copies of the same post” event comes to mind. Considering this service is free I’m not complaining.

I checked out Google Groups when I set up a group for a friend. It’s different but not necessarily better. I did a search for “Google Group Problems” and on top of the usual interface problems, e.g. faulty message archive search engine (!), the main topic was rude Google Group customer service. I’ve never had a Yahoo Group customer service person be rude to me or even cop an attitude. So I’m sticking with Yahoo Groups until the wheels fall off the bus.

When Yahoo Groups goes belly up that will be a sign to me to set up PHP-Nuke on my website and pay to keep a group together. I am not motivated to move to Google Groups, even if it is free.

These delays are very frustrating – started a couple weeks ago when some members would not receive information. I have tried to post a message twice today – the first, hours ago… and it has not been sent yet. It has not even been listed in the Group Messages list.

We are planning group rides for over 350 riders, unfortunately people are not getting their emails – If anyone is aware of a more reliable service please contact me (we are reviewing google groups right now as a possible service).

I’m currently seeing delays over 7 hours right now.
I only looked because I started posting less than 7 hours
    ago and nothing was showing.
A Moderator of that group was the one with the message time(s)

    Search is also screwed up.

I own and co-own several groups. I see you’re very aware of the delays, some of my messages have been delayed over night. However, I have another problem. I’m not sure if it’s happening to others or not. When I post or reply to a post direct from the post page in Yahoo it does NOT happen. The problem is, I use Outlook 2002. And when I send an email to a group–and this happens to all groups I post too, not just those I own–the message goes through, the lines are doubled and triple spaced. This is annoying but at least it goes through.

BUT when I reply from outlook to a message it comes across piggybacked and no one can read it, it has the previous message in the body, like I resent it back to the group without saying anything. It’s quiet bizaare. It says it’s from me but it doesn’t have what I wrote. And if you go to Yahoo to look, it’s there on the thread, but it does the same thing if you click on it to open it.

What can I do about that?

Mary, the missing message text is something happening with certain email programs and services. I believe it is a separate problem from the delays.

Text that shows in the summary, but not in the opened message, is text that was contained in the text/plain part of the message, but not the text/HTML (formatted) part, if there is one. That shouldn’t happen but there’s a glitch somewhere.

Try configuring Outlook to send your message as plain text, then what you write should show up in both places.

JD, they said that link would be temporary, it looks like they took the old profiles off line for good this time. It seems a bit daft to do that /before/ they refactored the Members list to use the new profiles, but what do I know?

Yes! I promise! All groups will be moved over to the new message search solution in May. (You’ll also be happy to hear that the groups that have already been moved over are very happy and we haven’t heard any complaints, meaning things are working well).

I’m sorry the move has been so painful and has taken so long, but we wanted to be sure and thoroughly “bucket test” the new search system before moving over huge quantities of groups.

    Thanks for your patience.

I am satisfied with the service, but I have another product suggestion.
I think applications comments need to be added to the update stream in profiles.
if someone comments on a map application ro whatever, that should be in the update stream.

looking at what you guys have posted as in the update stream for yahoo groups, i think they are limiting, important and vital but limiting, groups can and many do so much, file post, add to application, add to database, poll. these aspects need to be in the stream and before you guys add yahoo groups you should be ready to implement those factors if not on the release date you have to enter groups into profiles but at a later date that you are willing to tell folks in this blog.

  81. MK said,

Members are getting quite upset and emailing the mods to let them know that their messages are not appearing. Today, one member posted and part of his message showed in the preview, but when you clicked on the message to expand it , it was not there. The only way you could see it was to click on “View Source” which showed all the source code plus the message.

I’m sorry to say that missing messages & delays are still happening, and we’re getting hearing from more members experiencing the same problem: posts seem to be making it to the groups in a timely manner, but some members (with various ISPs) receiving individual messages are experiencing significant delays receiving some posts . . . and some posts are never delivered at all.

I personally have taken to subscribing to the digest with a different email addy because as a list owner, it’s extremely problematic to be missing posts.

I moderate a few lists, unmoderated, and from what I can see, replies seem to come through first before the original message appears in *some* of the folks mailboxes. One list I run is very high traffic, so there han’t been any lost mail. Seems Google!Mail, which is what I use, seems to be working fine in delivery … no issues there. Seems Comcast is an issue, and from reading through here, AOL although very few of the blind folks on my list use that service. One individual mentioned only getting the original message about three days after it was posted reach to her mailbox while some of us, recieved it the same time, like myself. I send/receive all my e-mail through GMail. Good luck in getting this remedied, as I love Yahoo!Groups and understand technicalities can be a pain in the rear end at times. I haven’t found the same feel for Google!Groups and I never cared for MSn groups, as message delivery to me was horrible as I read via e-mail instead of the web site. I am not sure if what I mentioned is any use at all!

It is stated somewhere that after sending out a post that the group owner then has to approve it. Sorry to be so lame on this subject, but just how does that approval process work? Is a group owner/moderator responsible for reading every message?
However, after reading all the above I can see that basically the problem in delays seems to stem from Yahoo’s maintenance.

The problem we have noticed in our group is that random messages are not getting delivered to subscribers with Comcast email addresses (including me). Comcast suggests some of Yahoo!’s IP addresses may be on a blocklist.

At least in our group, messages get posted to the group site without delay (apparently), some are just not being delivered to certain Comcast subscribers. We only moderate posts from new members, and that is pretty rare.

I thought it might have been a problem with my email address – I was using a Gmail address – so I tried sending messages from the Group home page, but with the same effect – my post would not turn up in my email inbox, though it does appear in the message list on the Group home page and I do get other messages.
I have since tried changing my email address in my membership profile, but to no avail (the galling thing about this not working is that the address is from BT Internet whose email service is provided by… Yahoo…) Au Res.,

I’m a comcast user and I’ve noticed that it makes little difference. I can receive messages from one person one day in my group and the next day not receive a message from that same person. It’s not moderation and it’s not something to do simply with comcost but defintely something to do with Yahoo. I’m still trying to figure out what the pattern is and at first I thought it might have something to do with moderation but it’s not. At one point I would get delayed and out of order messages. Other people might have replyed to messages that they had received and mine are aout of sinc. This has only started happening within the last month – 3- weeks max. Would be nice to have an explanation or have the problem fixed. Nice to have the it all working so that we can once again communicate again!

I just spent a half hour on Live Chat with Comcast and I am still not sure if they understand the issue. I gave them the link and hopefully someone will follow through. Today it seems like I have received all messages posted today, but still have not received ones from previous days. Yesterday, I received some posts from one yahoo group that were a week old. This is absolutely CRAZY, and yes — I MEAN to SHOUT!

IMHO, there is clearly something besides “let’s blame ISPs” going on. I’ve been dealing with these missing posts problems for NEARLY TWO MONTHS. I was oh, so willing to buy the explanation about Verizon & graylisting A MONTH AGO, and I dutifully contacted Verizon.

The problem has continued — indeed, it’s gotten worse. So, then I created a Gmail account specifically for use with Y!G, and guess what?! I’M STILL HAVING THE SAME FLIPPIN’ PROBLEM!

As I mentioned before, complaints from list members from a variety of ISPs experiencing the SAME PROBLEM are INCREASING!

And, it really is a no brainer to understand that list members missing messages makes it just about impossible to have a “community,” and it makes list administration for owners and moderators nearly IMPOSSIBLE.

List members are QUITTING because they aren’t receiving posts, and I don’t blame them. And, I don’t appreciate having to write responses to exit questionnaire where the comment is “I posted but never got any responses, so I’m quitting” when, in fact, responses were posted and the list member just never received them.

Please, FIGURE OUT WHAT THE HECK IS REALLY GOING ON AND GET IT FIXED!!!

And, as long as I’m ranting, I may as well suggest that you find out what’s going on with your Tech Support form!
    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/original/ownmod/forms/general.html

Three times now, I’ve tried to use it to report these ongoing problems, and ALL THREE TIMES (the most recent just minutes ago) clicking the “Submit” button just takes me back to the blank form with all my laborious efforts to clearly document exactly what’s going on gone, and with no indication that my form had actually been submitted. Given the complete lack of response to the previous two submissions, I can only assume these efforts to report the problems directly to tech support are going into a BLACK HOLE!

Hmmm . . . maybe that’s the point? If you get no complaints via the Tech Support form, then Y!G can pretend that all is well and *not* fix the problem???

I am still not receiving all posts to my email. I posted 4 messages on Saturday, and only 1 came through. Several other posts by other member never came through either. This is frustrating.

    @ oth,

Thanks, but we’re not experiencing *delays.* After nearly two months of this, I think I’d be thrilled with mere delays! What we’re experiencing is that some list members with a variety of ISPs receiving individual emails aren’t having all posts delivered.

    Saundra and others,

So I’m not alone! I”ve been silently bearing the frustration of delayed and missing messages for several weeks now and failed to get any meaningful help from Yahoo Customer Care. Now that I see it’s not a problem with my server, settings, etc., I’ll be more proactive in notifying my group about the issues they may be experiencing. I feel sorry for the Yahoo tech people who’d undoubtedly like nothing better than to truly fix the problems, but who I can only guess are without the necessary support. Who’s willing to take responsibility at the top? Hello…Yahoo…anyone???

I am trying to be a part of this “community” and freecycle, but I am getting frustrated because it seems I am missing some communication here.?
I have posted 4 replys that I haven’t seen posted and it has been more than 4 hours now. I see posts offering something and then I see one post about an hour later saying the “offer” has been “taken” and “thanks for all the replys” ,but I don’t see any replys?. What is going on????????????/

It’s April 27th and we still have problems with delayed messages on our professional forum. Members are getting quite upset and emailing the mods to let them know that their messages are not appearing. Today, one member posted and part of his message showed in the preview, but when you clicked on the message to expand it , it was not there. The only way you could see it was to click on “View Source” which showed all the source code plus the message.

We would love to see this fixes ASAP as we are quite a new group and our members are losing faith in Yahoo!

With all of these complaints…does anybody have Verizon? I find this whole ordeal of not getting messages from my group disgusting and aggravating and am about ready to tell my group to just DROP me. I am the only one in my group to use Verizon and I am the only one who is having a problem.

This morning I posted from the web to one of the groups I moderate and got a “message not available” error when I sent it…and it never appeared in the archives. I was able to successfully post on the second try but there’s not any sign of that first attempt in the Management logs.

Now we’re having new issues: “Pending” notices where the application text is not visible from the web but IS in the notices sent to our mailboxes. Still can’t approve anything via email either but Customer Care says they’re “aware of the problem and are diligently working to resolve the issue.”

My messages show as a TOTAL on the home screen. But nothing shows on the messages – Nothing is in pending, spam or messages folder. Unless theres a reason they shouldn’t be listing themselves, is this problem still out there?

I get delayed mails which is not making me enjoying the group as i use to.

I keep getting membership update but mails are not coming forth to my mail box anylonger.

I think there should be a solution to this, anyway.

How i wish to open up my mail box and find mails from the FFO group as usual.

    OR
Is the group lacking mails for now?

We’re finding that the moderation accept via email isn’t working at all. We have to go in manually to yahoo groups moderator function to approve. It’s getting to be intolerable – I don’t think Yahoo understands the issue. Any ideas? I hate to say it, but we’re looking at other providers.

i am so sick and tired of Yahoo Groups ineptness! i am waiting around in my house each morning waiting for my messages to show up on ‘pending’ and them to appear on the Home Page. May you Yahoo techs could take lessons from the former MSN Groups…i NEVER had any trouble there at all! i thinking of leaving Yahoo and finding another forum. Ugh and errrrrrr!

It appears that message delivery problems are chronic and only addressed with temporary fixes. Otherwise if the problem was resolved, we wouldn’t see multiple instances with various dates on this same issue.

My group has been affected for 2 days now. Temp fixes only resolve the current situation (if at all) and does nothing to resolve the real reason or provide a long term solution. This is the only reason we would STILL be experiencing these problems. It may not affect all groups but the groups it does affect impacts timely interaction and any scheduled activities.

Determining the root cause and then correcting it is the only way this will go away for good.

As an owner/moderator, it would be more efficient if there was a console with meaningful tools (features) for one to use to manage the group to automate the error reporting problems.

    Thanks for reading.

We have a group that depends on prompt messages because we earn money using information we pass on to each other that can be out of date in as little as 30 mins.

I am receiving messages now that were posted 13 hours ago. Sorry Yahoo, this is not good enough.
