Quite frankly I am so disgusted with Yahoo and the inability that it shows in helping to resolve simple problems, I am considering putting my group elsewhere. Now they have this Captcha thing which makes it impossible for me to send outgoing Yahoo mail. Supposed to stop spam. So I have decided to simply use my Hotmail account or my bellsouth e mail. Also the constant changing of the category is another issue. This is not what I paid for when I registered my domain with Yahoo. When is Yahoo going to learn to respect its customers. That is why they are losing business. It is like trying to turn a battleship around. They never learn. It is not a customer friendly site.

Hi there,

On 03/30/2009 I sent the email with two full headers for repeated digest messages from Glossop Freecycle as per the blog above. I'm still getting repeated messages (Sometimes hundreds a day) from this group. This is the only group I'm getting thes repeated messages from (I'm a member of several groups) and I was wondering if there a fix due any time soon?

Many thanks for your time,

Well, guess what.. we are back to the SAME PROBLEM today, 4/11.. mail delayed for several hours, some duplication..

and, NO, the reason isn't spam, or anything needing my group (which has been going strong for like 10 years) to be moderated..

I am an owner of serveral groups. We still have trouble trying to login to our groups, members are complaining they can't get on the group, Moderators can't get on to approve new members or messasges. One of these groups has around 3000 member and it is heart-sickening. HELP You new system just is not functioning well at all.

Email verification isn't working. One of my members gets some sort of server error or server unavailable message. My tests on a new account give me a "Sorry the verification email has expired" and that it's only valid for 5 days. The verification link in the email is activated within 30 seconds of receiving the email. I've tried this several times with the same result.

The reason for delays in mail from groups and
other problems of group messages is most likely
due to an increased level of spam in Yahoo Groups.

All moderators and Group Owners should immediately
help the Yahoo Team by going to their group, now and
editting them so all messages are moderated.

Moderated Messages is the way to go as spammers
dont like to hang around, waiting for messages to be
approved.

Many of us in several groups that I sponsor keep getting this message from mailserve@overture.com:

Yahoo! Search Marketing
Thank you for contacting us. This automated response will be the only one you
receive for the email you've submitted.

To ensure the security of our advertisers' account information, we now require
all advertiser inquiries to be submitted through our Support Request form.
etc.
---------

Why is this happening and why does Yahoo not fix the problem. I wrote to customer service regarding this and received NO response.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Melissa...

On the home page of the group there's a link that says the group is listed under the auctions category.

When I click on that link it takes me to:

http://tech.dir.groups.yahoo.com/dir/Computers___Internet/Internet/Auctions

And my group doesn't appear to be listed.

Please advise.

Thanks.
