Message Delay
Update: 9:27 am PST: The backlog has been worked through and message delivery has returned to normal.
This morning (January 13th) from 6:00-7:00 am PST message delivery from Yahoo! Groups was down, and we are still experiencing delays as our systems work through the backlog of messages. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

I have signed up yahoo and some of the groups, whenever i wish to create an email may it be destined for 12-15 groups posting. no email is being sent. what’s wrong with it. I’ve learnt that yahoo can post groups posting through email and its nothing of problem. Due to my workload cant continue on one to one posting. Please try to resolve my issue with postings. Also why is there hour restrictions. we have throusand of group why cant we join and post maximum remaining in rules.
Please help me with my account.

I have a group with 1000+ users – it is 2 years old now, and i have to tell you guys – please update the quota of disk usage! 100MB is an neanderthalian limit.
.
I do not want 100GB – 1 will do for now

i used to receive mails with frequent break recently.previously its about 10mails per day.why its so,i don’t know when it will b regularised.

It would appear that the problem is NOT fixed, since it’s the 17th and we’re still getting at best sporadic mail delivery for yahoo groups.

Yahoogroups is great, I’ve been using this resource since 2001! Dina, I don’t believe you can post to more than one yahoogroups at a time when you’re sending via email; Jesus, it’s possible that your email is bouncing.

At the begining I was getting the mails(posts) regularily but nowdays sometimes once in a week or more longer than it. What’s wrong with it now I am updating it, in time also.
Any way try to solve the problems.

It would appear that as of Mon. January 19 the issue is still on going. We have a very large group that is very active and members are asking when e-mail will return to normal for their messaging. Normally we love Yahoo Groups but this has been a huge problem with little or no explanation from technical support. An update as to when the backlog issue going on 5 days now will be resolved would be appreciated.

People are having problems uploading pictures to yahoo groups!!! It’s taking so long to upload pictures to groups that my browser is timing out. Then the photos don’t even get uploaded and if they do, only maybe 1 or 2 out of the 5 get uploaded, and sometimes picture you didn’t even select to get uploaded are getting uploaded! Please fix this! I’d like to be able to upload photos to the photos section of groups soon!

All of my 33 Yahoo Groups no longer bring up photos.
All that appears is a screen with the logo: Yahoo Groups
up in the left hand corner. Why can’t I access the Photos
page?

WHEN I JOINED THE COMMUNITY i was geting my mails properly
in one week there use to be more than 100’s of mails
now i hardly get any mails try to solve it

just my personal opinion, if at all possible , would be nice to include pictures of items.. I think it would mean less “no shows” …I realize this is a free site , and ppl should be greatful and some may not have web cams. or the knowledge , but , IF possible it would be nice .. thank you

I am not receiving my own messages in my emails again. I emailed your customer service and they said to check with my ISP. I have used the same ISP for months, and this problem only started a couple of days ago. After I emailed your customer service, my emails I started receiving my emails again. I see from the comments I am not the only person having this proble.

Just wanted to add to the comments, that I am receiving my emails hours after they have been sent. Hopefully this problem will be resolved soon. I do appreciate that Yahoo is a free service.

It seems as though the problem had been fixed as of last night, but this morning again, whenever I send emails to my group, they do not post in the group’s web site or do I receive my own emails in my in box. I receive emails from the members of my group. As I said before I know this is a free service and hopefully Yahoo does not change that and start charging for their service. If that happens, I may have to think again about paying a service charge.
I have used the same internet service for months, so I can’t think they are blocking my emails, especially since I see from the comments other people are having problems also.

The problem seems to be continuing as of Feb 16. I have received complaints from my group members that they have not been receiving email from the group, since at least this weekend. The messages seem to get posted to the group on the web, but at least some individual subscribers are not receiving. so far, most members have been using an email address other than their yahoo ID. All have been receiving messages sent to the same address up until this weekend. I am the group owner.

There has been a complete stoppage of emails from pic groups I belong to. Tjhis has been going on for two days. I thought maybe AOL is the problem. I then canged to my second email address and a few got through. I iusually recieve hundreds daily. This is weird. Any info ? thanks

I’m the moderator of a 1400 member active HS yahoo gorup that is 5 years old. For the past month or more many of our members are not receiving their DD’s or individual emails. I’ve lost count of the number people who have contacted me. Is this issue being resolved?
