I am having a problem with a group that I joined. I emailed the moderator and they don’t know what is going on. For one of my Freecycle groups it keeps switching me back to individual emails from web only. It was doing it every few months, this week it has been switching me back a few hours. I click on the web only choice, save it, go back and confirm that it is now web only on my manage groups page.
The moderator said there is not a web only option, but it’s there. Why does it keep switching me back and only for that one group?

I too have tried twice to post WANTED and OFFER’s and got the message that the post would have to be approved. After 3 days I tried again…no sucess. So, I emailed Customer Care almost 2 days ago and I’ve still not recieved an answer to my problem. Why? I know “you” can not be help “personally” responsible, but can you tell me WHO can help me?
I have things I want to give to a mother who may need the item I’m offering and I have things I am looking for as well. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I belong to PKDcure and I have tryed all week-end to find out whats going on but the only note I see is my own what happened. Reading some of these notes I guess its due to slowness is that it does it happen alot? I realy have missed being able to talk to people with the same issues. Tena
Not sure if this is ‘slowness’ of the site, or a ‘moderation’ issue.
I tried posting a ‘wanted’ for sandbaggers in a flooding area of my town, and it never showed up on some of the boards. Why not? Just trying to save the planet from all the junk that would have been destroyed in the flood! Hello!

I emailed the group owner and waiting to hear back.
Maybe I have too many ‘wanted’ posts out there, trying to help other families out and they never see how much my family responds to other ‘wanted’ posts, because, I don’t post things ‘given/taken’. (Doesn’t matter to me to post such things. I helped someone out – that’s fine!)
I will keep up with what I’m doing but I think this whole ‘moderation’ business, needs to be looked into.
I only wish there could be some kind of ‘standard’ with all of the Yahoo groups, ie: Freecycle, Freesourses, etc., regarding certain posts (like ‘received, promised, and especially, rehoming pets, etc.’).

there are members here who have not been active for more than FIVE YEARS!!!!
Why have them listed as members????
This is not only a Yahoo problem but a Social Network problem EVERONE seems too afraid to remove dead profiles. It’s not uncommon on Myspace anymore to find More Dead profiles than active ones. I would be surprised if there are more than 2000 Yahoo members left since you be came “family Friendly”
Maybe Social Networks are a dead fad & I need to get with the times.

How long will it take for my new group to become available? I’m not sure whether it relates to the problem discussed here, but it’s been “temporarily unavailable” for some time now. I tried to contact support, but that form isn’t working for me, either.

Hello. I’m a longtime Owner/Moderator. I created a new private group yesterday, and I’m seeing things I’ve never encountered before with a new group. I wondered if they are related to the slowness issue, or if it is something else, like a lag I should come to expect with new group creation. If so, when can I expect normal operations?
The home page shows this disturbing message: “Most Recent Topics (Message archives are not currently available)”
Although some members are joining, I can’t post any messages to them from the website or through email. Some features from the menu work: Photos, Polls, Members, and Calendar. Promote, Invite, and Management get me where I expect to go. However, Files says “File access is currently unavailable. Please try again later.” Links and Database show the message “Network transmission problem”.
Any ideas about what I can expect? Thank you!

I would like to see when you make a group it has a tag line. Having a tag line people can find groups faster.. as it is a pain
