Back in March I posted to inform all of you who had been testing the Yahoo! Groups Beta that we had completed our testing and encouraged everyone who was using the beta product to move back to the classic Groups product.
To recap, we are planning to take all of the feedback you have shared with us and the lessons we’ve learned and incorporate these things into the classic (or original) Groups product in an evolutionary way. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on the latest developments here on the Groups blog, so please stay tuned.
In the meantime, we will migrate all beta Groups over to the classic Groups product by June 1st (impacting only .01% of Groups users who are members of a beta group). We will begin this migration the week of May 26th.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to post below in the comments area.
We greatly appreciate all the time and effort you all put forth in testing and providing feedback on the Groups Beta. We gained a great deal of valuable insight and will work to incorporate as much of your feedback into classic Groups product as possible.

I just got into yahoo groups and noticed the beta concept
1) Why no image button in the dashboard to insert an image?
2) Why is there no ability to edit a post?
I really like the yahoo beta groups,I only had 1 issue Could not send invites

My Yahoo email address “legalguru@charter.net” account has been bouncing in Y! Groups for the pass several days now. No email that I send to Yahoo Business opp group, or home based biz, or network mrktng groups gets posted to those groups. When I try to click the link “Unbounce” or “Send Reactivation Request”, I only get this error message:
Unable to connect
Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost:8080.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
Any help or information regarding this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the rapid response in getting the html fixed this morning, most appreciated. Am now up and running, Yahoo finally sends me an error stating the problem and handled it promptly. There are tons of yahoo groups owners and mods who appreciate the tech support today! Kudos!
I have been using the beta version for some time now. It has a wonderful look and the choice of colours are unique. It has truly been a pleasure working this one. However, there is one constant nagging. The advrt. panel that keeps on appearing on the right of the mail. Although, I have clicked it off several times,it keeps on coming back again and again.
Do something about this.
Keep on the good work.It makesmail reading/writing a pleasurable experience.

I need help with my group. I want to add music on my homepage and I need help. I have no idea what I am doing, someone gave me a code to put in the description box but nothing happens. Does anyone know what I need to do?
Does this beta testing by any chance have anything to do with the 18KB of HTML bloat that are now being added to every email to a list?
I switched my group prefernce from the so-called “new and improved” “fully featured” message preference to “traditional”, but when I sent out a short (1.5KB) message, it came back at over 19KB.
The HTML is hideously ugly, which is why I don’t do HTML in email at all.

One an Open Public Forum: where anyone can join and another a moderated one? Is it possible to merge the two, ofcourse if both owners consent to it?

In the past there were 2 windows on the invite page. One for the email address and another for a message. Now the message window is gone. How do I get it back? Thank you

Wow I’ve noticed some strangeness today too. Replies I post from my gmail account get stuck and aren’t posted to the list until I reply again from the group’s web site, then both messages come through one right after the other, like one from noon and the other from 8pm.
Is it Not Okay to use gmail addresses on Yahoo groups any more? I haven’t seen anything today from people who normally post from Hotmail either. This isn’t a political thing between Yahoo and Microsoft from that failed takeover attempt is it??
Just this evening, I logged into several different Yahoo Groups and the pages are all skewed. They are very slow in opening. I don’t recall ever choosing the beta option, so I’m wondering if my groups were somehow affected by this change anyway?
