I am the group owner of Northern CA Native Events and News, and got this group started in January 03. We now have over 1,000 members, even though folks can access the web page and send in messages without being members. We try to offer our readers an average of five messages a day – with a variety of themes within our focus area. Many other groups, websites, and even print media use information they find on our pages. It is very gratifying to see Northern CA Native concerns and accomplishments highlighted in broadening venues, as well as the broadening understanding of Northern CA Native culture. I have been told by a number of organizations, that they get the best response to their publicity efforts through the group. This is a great way to connect related but geographically distant communities, as well as getting your message out to the world.

If yahoo told people that would have to delete your blog to be removed from a group why would any one join a group. join a group and get spam spam spam
they should be easier to be removed from as they are to join who would want there contacts to get spam

How about networking groups and blogs. Blogs could hold information relevant to all members in the group
Pleased to hear about your updates. And glad to know that the groups is focussed on enchancing itself.
i was wondering about defaultly launching a blogger’s network for each of the groups on yahoo. Members on the group will have default access to the blog and they can post to the blogsite for the group. The moderators will be enabled to moderate the logs. You alrady have a lot of groups so it will be an excellent way to network further and develop meaningful associations within groups. Right now even though it groups it still feels like an email exchange site. Since a group concentrates information, the blog would hold relevant information for the members of the group and could really become very useful to the groups community as a whole. what better way to integrate bloggers with groups. So many people networking via groups already.
Please can you email me on what you think on this.
go yahoo Groups.
Regards
Pipi.
