That’s right, Yahoo! Mail has claimed April Yahoo! Mail Security Month. Hence the shield-totin’ Liam you see to the right. —>
On a recent visit to the Y! Mail blog I came across what I thought was extemely valuable information and I wanted to share it with the rest of you.
You may have already noticed that the Mail tips on your main page (Mail tab in Classic, Home tab in All-New Mail) are security oriented.
A variety of tips are there to help you find a ton of useful information over on the Yahoo! Mail Security site. Whether it’s understanding the best ways to prevent spam, how to protect yourself from viruses, or how to make sure you don’t fall for a phishing scam, Yahoo! and the Yahoo! Mail team wants you to be smarter online!
Enjoy,

Has anybody here got any info on some supposedly “new service” called “Grouply”? I’ve been contacted about subscribing on a couple occasions now. My first vist to their embedded link revealed that they needed my Yahoo password to join. Needless to say, I took a pass, but the invites keep coming. What’s the deal?
thanks.

Hello folks. I stumbled upon this place and wanted to say hi.
yeah yahoo mail is just sooo damn secure. so secure that another email address got hacked MANY months ago and they STILL haven’t unblocked it like i asked MANY times for them to do. they make it so damned easy to hack into and yet so difficult to get unblocked.
Not able to open my mails/groups. Getting display on the monitor screen as”this page cannot be displayed” when I try to sign in. How to over come this problem? This problem is experienced from today. Please give solution to the problem
I was getting so much spam (As was my wife, separate account, separate host) that I contracted with an off-site company to filter through our emails. My wife was getting several hundred per day and my total was around 40per day. With this company, we get a daily report on what they filtered and recommended for deleting. They do not delete until we notify them.
I am extremely pleased with this service. They will filter 3 accounts for $3.95 per month.
I don’t know if this is the place to mention it or not but I regularly get attacked by a phishing scam when I check my yahoo!groups through web access. It seems to be attached to the site rather than a particular group (it changes groups each time) and it’s really irritating, especially when it’s happened 3 or 4 times in a row on a day-to-day basis. It’s always the same one about anti-spyware stuff. Is there any way to deal with it?
And we decided to wait until half way through April to bring it up because?
No offense but I think it’s time both Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Groups focused more on product reliability and less on frills.
Yes, mail security is important, but if I can’t read or send messages in the first place (becoming more and more of a problem lately) then I’m not too worried about what is in those emails.
