I've been getting a series of constant invitations from Yahoo groups for porn groups - How do I stop them?

I don't mind getting invitations from groups that have to do with subjects that I already obviously have an interest in. Anybody who knows me or who checks my profile can send me any such invitations. But the invitations from these porn groups, that advertise pictures of nude girls, webcams, etc., are just another form of SPAM & I have nothing in my profile that says anything being interested in such vile filth! And Yahoo has obviously neglected to do anything about this form of SPAM, at least so far!

I have contacted Yahoo customer service at least a half a dozen times in the past two months or so since I first started getting these invitations and they have responded rather consistantly with the automated responses, basically telling me that they will get to it when they get to it. And twice they actually did respond with a follow up e-mail, saying that they are reviewing the process thru which these sites/groups on Yahoo are regulated & saying that once they have come to a decision they won't even bother to tell me what it is since they have a confidentiality agreement to follow & that they can not comment about any one specific group, even indirectly & without mentioning a group by name. Is there a way to design or make it so that I can not receive invitations from groups that advertise specific content, such as nudity, etc.? Obviously if the ability to do this does exist it would certainly be in, or under, some "Options" or "Preferences" tab or link, either where one edits their profile, or perhaps on the Yahoo Groups homepage.

I don't see it! If it is there then where is it!? If it is not there then why not!?? Would I get a better/faster and a more adequate response from Yahoo if I called their corporate headquarters? (I pulled this off of the "Yahoo! Privacy" web page. - Yahoo! Inc. Customer Care - Privacy Policy Issues, 701 First Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089, (408) 349-5070)?

I know that I could mark the invitations as SPAM, but then won't all future invitations that I get thru or from Yahoo Groups, regardless as to whether they are from a reputable group that is not SPAM or is from a Yahoo Group that is nothing more than SPAM, be sent directly to my SPAM folder? I don't want that and it would be a big inconvenience to me. Has anyone else received such invitations? To anyone who has, what have you done about it? Have you ignored them, complained about them, cancelled your yahoo account altogether, or what!? What has worked for you?

The following are the names of the three most previous porn groups that have sent me invitations. I have included them in this message to highlight the severity of this problem. I am obviously not the only user receiving these invitations and I furthermore can not be the only user disgusted by them. There has got to be a way to stop them & the number one way that I know or can think of is to put a flame under Yahoo's rearend. The best way to go about doing this is for all of us who are effected by this to do it as a group!! The more of us that there are to put that flame underneath them the faster they will take notice, and hopefully do something about this problem.

I own a small group for my family members. This was so we could keep in touch over the distances. I do not like the idea of this added groups at the bottom. There are things you do not want to share. I joined a group about dealing with cancer to find information for a friend. I stayed as it was a very informative group. Try and field questions of "who's sick?" not everyone has a mother that would belive that explanation. My family does not want to read about a million cooking groups I am on. My vegetarian groups do not want to see list of groups that cook animal flesh. There could not have been any real thought put into this ahead of time.

Good heavens! I realize that crossdressers are seen by much of the world as perv's, and ~some~ of them deserve it. However, I have to question what moron at Yahoo devised a search criteria that "thought" that folks at a CD "Garden" (kind of like a tea room) would find affinity with a groups with names like "humiliation central" and "feminizing sissies"?

The members of the Garden aren't even allowed to post references to such sites, but Yahoo is summarily afflicting us with them? For shame!

My group is a regional group. I am against advertising other "related" groups by yahoo. I don't see how this benefits my members. How would yahoo distinguish by geography? A forced ad for another group would run counter to purpose of building and maintaining a local group, where members actually meet in person.
My group is comprised of real people who meet face to face. Keep it real yahoo, keep forced ads from group emails.
