Where is the first place you’d look to learn the basics of being a moderator?

We just launched a new poll on Moderator Central to better gauge the first place you would go to learn the basics of being a moderator. The results of this poll and others that we’ve run are useful in helping us to better understand where we can make improvements. We’ll run this poll for a couple of weeks and report back on the results. Please take the time to cast your vote and let your voice be counted!

Even if you aren’t a moderator, responding to the poll will provide us with insight into where you would look to find information about Groups. We also encourage you to use the comment area below to post your suggestions for future polls – now go vote!

Cheers,

As an owner/mod and member of a number of Groups, I would like to know what Yahoo is doing about the Grouply spam and privacy violations.

Thanks for your input Donna Lee!

What resources or help content do you feel could/should be added to Moderator Central?

    Thanks again,

Back on subject. LOL I would much rather get the help in this Moderator Central Group. I have yet to understand blogs.

You could put something in the help for groups but I don’t find that very helpful for I it does not answer most of my questions when I need help. Getting support through to Yahoo is so very hard too. There has to be a better way!

    Hello Jinny and Kathleen,

I wanted to let you know that I am looking into this and will get back to you as soon as I have information to share.

    Please stay tuned…

“Grouply” basically bypasses many of the safeguards I put in place for my Yahoo groups. Grouply may be a wonderful, caring, honest entity, but the potential for misuse is enormous. There are other group owners who feel as I do. We really need to know Yahoo’s position on Grouply. There are other social networking entities waiting in the wings if this one works. If this is the way of the future, I need to know that and make some decisions.

So, Yahoo, what’s the story on Grouply and Yahoo?
