How do I change the settings so that only members can read messages?

Surely someone can help me out with something as simple as that.

One of the groups I moderate just had a message sent through to the group from a moderated member without any moderator approval. This is the first time I've ever seen this could this be fixed so that moderated members require approval prior to messages being sent to the group?

In the past when any member sent a message to the group, they got that same message sent back to them as well as the rest of the group. Sometime last year that changed and the message is only sent to everyone else. As a result the sender is led to believe that it didn't go through and ends up sending it again. Now almost every message posted is being sent twice.

How do we get back to working like it used to. Why does Yahoo insist on tinkering with things that work great only to screw them up?

I don't know where else to post issues so I'm going to do so here. In the past year something changed where the person sending a message does not receive it back themselves. As a result there believe that it did not post and send it again resulting in duplicate messages. How do we change this back to even the sender receiving the email message? I have a large group and this duplication of emails is becoming a big deal. It used to work fine but changed and I've asked this question numerous times but have never received an answer.
